[Psychological suffering of the families of hospitalized chidren].

The aim in this study is to understand the child hospitalized family perceptions about the psychic suffering, to identify the presence of situation in the childcare that caused the stress and the defensive strategies used by the family. The data was obtained with semi-structured interview. The qualitative analysis followed the texts interpretation. The mother is exposed to different pressures that created the psychic suffering; this suffering is expressed by aggressive attitudes, feelings of fault, worries and fear. The psychic suffering occurred to derive as much as physical structure by the work organization. The defensives strategies used are to avoid talk about the hospitalization; to cry; to talk about the situation; move away itself of the place that create the suffering. Noticed in this study the need to create new conducts in the work organization for build a care that intends the family and child necessities.
